June 2007 Meeting
Our OMN's June 2007 Meeting featured the celebration of 50 years on OKC broadcast TV, and the 80th birthdays for OKC Radio & TV personalities 'Danny Williams' ('3-D Danny' & 'Dannysday') and late-night TV host 'John Ferguson' (alter-ego 'Count Gregore', from 'Shock Theater' and 'Sleepwalker's Matinee').
Tribute was paid to the careers and accomplishments of these local media icons as they told it all. Emcee Chance Newman, from Cox Media, introduced these legendary gentlemen of the media with a theatrical flair of yesteryear.
Also honored at the luncheon was Charline Caruthers, long time employee of the former WKY-TV (now KFOR-TV), who worked with Danny and John. Charline also celebrated her 80th birthday this year.

May 2007 Meeting -
Our May meeting was about our favorite TV programming now being available in traditional real-time on-air, or whenever convenient on TIVO, IPOD, the Internet or via Video-On-Demand. Panelists discussed the challenges news and entertainment have across various digital platforms created for advertisers, and the new opportunities provided for advertisers, with digital technology. The discussion included how TV stations can air a variety of programs simultaneously on one channel with digital multicasting. How news programs are specifically created and formatted for webcast and cellphone viewing, and the inexpensive hardware and software, with websites like You-Tube allowing unlimited potential for anyone to become a TV program producer.
Panelists included:
Mike Young, Executive Vice President, Corporate Media Director, Ackerman-McQueen Advertising.
Bill Thrash, Station Manager, OETA Television Stations.
Andrea Decker, Consulting Director, Element Fusion Internet Development.
Kevin Hill, Director of Acquisition, Cox Communications.
